The Ark provides supervised family visits for 1) children in foster care; 2) court-mandated family visits due to custody disputes, domestic violence, contentious divorce, or other unsafe environments.
In these visits, a coach joins the family to:
- model respectful parent interaction with children
- teach parents how to discipline effectively
- provide ideas on how to prepare food and eat together
- clean up together
- play together
- model communication skills
The goal is to provide non-custodial parents every opportunity possible to be reunited with their children.
